Hey, I'm Uche! I was born in Philly, but at the age of 10 I moved to Atlanta where I attended Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!). After graduation, I moved to Seattle and worked full-time at Microsoft for almost 4 years working on Cloud Native technology and developer tooling including the Docker Extension for VS Code. I spent a year at Vercel as the Senior Product Manager of Observability before moving onto Snowflake as a Product Manager in Data Engineering Experiences. I love building Products both professionally and in my spare time.

I looove EDM Music (especially Trap and House), cooking food for my friends, and dancing the night away.

Why did you create Lingua Logger?

When I visited Barcelona, Spain back in 2024, I realized that I forgot almost everything I built over nearly 6 years. I met plenty of folks over there, but my lack of understanding made it impossible to get any further than "How are you?" and "Bye". Ultimately, once I got back to the States, I decided to re-commit myself to language learning. ¡Vamos!

Soon, I learned that tracking your comprehensible input was one of the most effective ways to measure language acquisition over time, but I was frustrated that in order to track my progress, I either had to use a generic habit tracker app, or use a spreadsheet (🤢). On top of that, I had the crazy idea to use AI to localize the app in over 60 languages! At the end of the day, I want everyone to be able to track their language in their native tongue or their target language, no matter where they are from.
